Two major roads get the visitor to las Terrenas. The Western road connects the town of Sanchez to las Terrenas, and the Eastern one connects las Terrenas to the town of Samana, via el Limon and el Portillo. These 2 scenic routes offer spectacular views on mountains, valleys and the ocean.

The area is served by two airports; the El Catey international airport, 40 mn away of Las Terrenas, and a small airoprt called "El Portillo", located only 7km (~4 miles) East of Las Terrenas. A 30 minute flight takes the visitors from El Portillo to the country's main Airport. located in Santo Domingo.

Another great advantage of las Terrenas is the newly opened highway that connects the Samana peninsula to Santo Domingo in only 2 hours.
